Job Description

As the Director of Engineering Connectivity, you will be responsible for driving the vision and execution of Connectivity for Infotainment & CDC platforms and products in the Automotive and Embedded & Semi-Conductor domains. Your key objectives in this role will include Delivery Management, Program Oversight, Architecture Excellence, Team & Financial Performance, Customer Focus, and Process Optimizations. Key Responsibilities: - Define a scalable architecture for WLAN, Bluetooth, Ethernet, and products to meet safety and performance standards. - Lead high-performing teams to ensure optimal resource utilization for financial and time targets. - Deliver reliable and innovative platforms and products that exceed customer expectations. - Drive continuous improvements in engineering practices and inter-domain collaborations. Key Year-One Deliverables: - Achieve measurable improvements in software quality and delivery. - Reduce defect density by 20% and ensure zero slippage on delivery timelines. - Successfully manage the execution of at least 3 major customer milestones. - Implement a robust architecture strategy emphasizing scalability. - Improve customer satisfaction leading to a 10% increase in feedback ratings. - Streamline workflows to reduce delivery cycles by at least 15%. - Enhance employee satisfaction in 2 identified areas by 20%. Qualifications, Experience, and Skills: - Masters or bachelor's degree in business management. - 16+ years of relevant experience in a regional or global environment. - Experience collaborating with executive teams and business leaders. - 10+ years of embedded software development experience in C/C++/Java. - 8+ years of experience as an architect in complex embedded systems with advanced technologies. - Good knowledge of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth features in In-Vehicle Infotainment systems. - Proficient in C, C++, Java programming skills. - Working experience in Android AOSP/Linux-based infotainment and build environments. - Development experience in WIFI standards and security protocols. - Experience with communication network protocols like CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UART, SPI. - Knowledge of Automotive SOCs and Microcontrollers. - Proficiency in Agile/Scrum/Sprint methodology. - Strong leadership qualities including the ability to inspire change and critical thinking.
