Job Description

The Team:

S&P Tax Solutions is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineering Lead to join a global team of Cloud Engineers to support our Tax solutions platform used to provide Due diligence, Withholding, Payment and Reporting solutions for our hosted customers.

Responsibilities and Impact:

15+ years of practical experience in Windows Server Administration, preferably on cloud supporting Windows 2016/2019/2022 server environments
Deep knowledge of AWS technologies such as EC2, ELB, S3, VPC, EBS, RDS, ECS/EKS, IAM, FSX, Active Directory, DNS, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
Networking administration experience, good understanding of VPN, Peering, Routing, NACL, ALB/NLB, Security Groups, Access Control
MS SQL Server, and understanding of HA deployment setup
Essential to have experience with configuration and deployment management in a scripting language like terraform or CloudFormation and experience in running a combination of server and serverless application stacks.
Knowledge of web services, API, REST and RPC
Person should be open to work in rotational shift including weekends and holidays
Ability to translate architectural requirements
Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
Ability to deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems
Experience in monitoring and auditing systems
Be responsible for the planning, and implementation of the AWS cloud hosted infrastructure
Work alongside architecture and product engineering teams to design and implement scalable software services
Stay current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating which ones would be a good fit for the company
Building and designing web services in the cloud, along with implementing the set-up of geographically redundant services.
Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
Knowhow to implement and control the flow of data, to and from a service provider
Capability to select the appropriate services based on compute, data, or security requirements
Ability to estimate usage costs and identify operational cost control mechanisms
Responsible with engaging various business stakeholders in achieving objectives (product DevOps teams, Cloud Operations for BAU, customers).

What Were Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

University degree, preferably engineering graduate or equivalent.
Strong communication skills are needed to describe hosted offerings, and solutions across a wide range of requirements, and convey different levels from management to clients.
Proven track record of supporting cloud hosted windows-based applications.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving skills with a growth mindset and openness to AI-powered innovation.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Capable of managing priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

15+ years of practical experience in AWS Cloud Administration preferably AWS certified Solutions Architect or Equivalent
Strong Analytical skills, Presentation skills, and ability to work under pressure
Proven experience in monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing large-scale distributed systems in a cloud environment.
Background in managing Windows-based production systems , Containerization, network configurations, and server performance in the cloud.
Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) bonus if paired with AI-based infrastructure tools.
Experience explaining technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
