We are currently looking for an experienced, innovative, and results-driven Director of Marketing to oversee our Cardio-Metabolic Health portfolio in India. This role entails developing and implementing long-term marketing strategies, ensuring operational excellence across various marketing initiatives, including brand management, launch preparedness, field team alignment, and customer-centric programs. The Director will lead a high-performing marketing team and collaborate with Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Market Access, and Global teams to drive sustainable growth, impactful product launches, and improved patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Brand Leadership: - Develop and own the marketing strategy for the therapeutic area/portfolio in India, in alignment with global and regional strategies. - Translate corporate objectives into actionable multi-brand marketing plans and go-to-market strategies. - Identify growth opportunities by analyzing market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer insights. - Provide strategic guidance to establish unique brand positioning, customer segmentation strategies, and value propositions. Integrated Brand Planning & Execution: - Supervise the annual brand planning process, including budgeting, resource allocation, and performance tracking. - Approve marketing strategies for all brands within the portfolio, evaluate ROI, and align with financial forecasts. - Monitor brand health metrics, market share, and campaign effectiveness through robust tracking and analytics. New Product Launch Excellence: - Lead end-to-end launch strategies for new products, from opportunity assessment to commercial execution. - Ensure cross-functional teams are prepared for launch, fostering agility, alignment, and execution discipline. - Develop launch playbooks and internal capabilities for consistent excellence in go-to-market plans. Commercial Effectiveness & Field Alignment: - Collaborate with Sales Leadership to translate brand strategy into field force actions, reviewing sales plans and resource deployment. - Enhance field force capability through training strategies in partnership with L&D and Medical Affairs. - Support field coaching, messaging consistency, and performance evaluations. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: - Define the customer engagement strategy for key stakeholders such as HCPs, KOLs, pharmacists, and institutions. - Establish and expand omnichannel engagement programs, strengthen partnerships through congresses, speaker engagements, and digital platforms. - Cultivate relationships with KOLs and patient advocacy groups to support disease awareness and access programs. Cross-functional Leadership: - Act as the primary marketing liaison with Global, Regional, Medical, Regulatory, Market Access, Legal, and Supply Chain teams. - Represent the marketing function in strategic planning forums, business reviews, leadership councils, and compliance reviews. - Drive alignment across cross-functional teams to facilitate the seamless execution of strategic initiatives. Team Development & Leadership: - Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of ownership, agility, and collaboration. - Provide career development opportunities, succession planning, and performance coaching across the team. - Encourage cross-brand knowledge sharing and initiatives to enhance marketing capabilities. Compliance & Governance: - Advocate for compliance and ethical marketing practices, ensuring all activities adhere to internal policies and local/global regulations. - Collaborate with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure promotional content and engagement strategies comply with regulatory frameworks. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Science/Pharmacy; MBA, M. Pharm or relevant advanced degree preferred. - 12-15 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, including leadership and portfolio ownership. - Demonstrated success in brand management, product launches, and leading cross-functional teams. - Proficiency in strategic decision-making, analytics, and customer-centric innovation. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and global teams. - Experience in Digital/consumer marketing preferred, along with Healthcare industry experience.
