JD: Refrigeration System Design Engineer

• Develop Top-Down design assembly ,3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings for sheet metal, plastic, and stainless steel components.
• Expertise in plastic design and foreseeing potential failure in manufacturing and take necessary design actions.
• Design mechanical assemblies for evaporators, water distribution systems, and structural frames.
• Optimize designs for durability, corrosion resistance, and thermal efficiency.
• Support prototype builds, fit-and-finish checks, and mechanical validation tests.
• Design and size refrigeration circuits including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and expansion devices.
• Perform thermodynamic calculations and refrigeration cycle analysis.
• Work with suppliers to ensure manufacturability and cost optimization.
• Develop and optimize systems for energy efficiency, reduced noise, and improved ice production rates.
• Ensure designs meet EPA, DOE, and safety standards.
• Hands on experience in 3D design software and PLM SolidWorks & Windchill.
• Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), Tolerance stack up analysis during design stage.
• High level of drawings / schematics / Standards understanding.
• Perform Design/ Process Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (DFMEA / PFMEA).
• Drive Design for manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Coordinate with Onsite design team on technical matters to meet project Specification & Schedule.
• Develop Bills of Material (BOM) & documents for design.

Required Qualifications

• BE Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited 4-year university or college.
• 6 to 10 years experience in Product Design & Manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems.
• Strong leadership skills with pro-active approach
• Knowledge of Lean Principles, Six Sigma and Kaizen
• Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills
• Fluent in English
