DevOps Release Management Team Job Title: DevOps Engineer MES & IIoT Release Management Location: Coimbatore/Hyderabad Technical Role Overview: The DevOps Engineer will design and maintain a robust CI/CD pipeline to support the continuous integration, testing, and deployment of MES modules across multiple plants and machines. This role involves standardizing Kepware configurations, managing communication protocols, and ensuring efficient multi-environment rollouts. The focus is on automating deployments and maintaining high availability and system integrity throughout production environments. Key Technical Responsibilities: CI/CD Pipeline Development: Architect, build, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar, tailored for MES application deployments. Automate testing and deployment workflows for multi-plant, multi-machine modules. Kepware & Communication Protocol Management: Establish and enforce configuration standards for Kepware servers, including the management of Kep Tags and industrial communication protocols. Troubleshoot and optimize communication channels (OPC UA, MQTT) between industrial devices and MES systems. Release & Deployment Automation: Implement automated testing frameworks and monitoring tools to ensure reliable releases and rapid rollback capabilities if issues arise. Coordinate with development and integration teams to align release schedules and manage version control effectively. Performance Monitoring & Incident Response: Set up real-time monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to track deployment performance and system health. Proactively manage incidents during deployments and provide rapid resolution to minimize downtime. Required Technical Skills: Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes). Deep knowledge of industrial communication protocols and Kepware server configuration. Proven track record in automating release management processes in multi-site deployments. Experience with version control (Git) and automation scripting (Bash, Python). Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) is essential. Excellent problem-solving and project management skills. Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in DevOps or release management roles, ideally within industrial automation or MES environments.
