JD: CFD Engineer

• Perform CFD simulations involving natural and forced convection, turbulence, and multi-region thermal transfer.
• Conduct

  transient CFD simulations

  to study time-dependent heat transfer and fluid flow phenomena such as pump start-up effects and fluctuating server loads.
• Model complex systems such as immersion cooling tanks, cooling towers, and evaporative condensers.
• Set up fluid domains, define boundary conditions, and prepare mesh for accurate simulations.
• Interpret thermal and flow results and recommend design improvements based on insights.
• Evaluate the impact of heat sources (e.g., server heating elements) and analyse the thermal performance of dielectric fluids.
• Validate CFD models against experimental or design data.
• Document analysis setup, boundary conditions, assumptions, and conclusions in detailed reports.
• Support product optimization through design iterations and performance enhancement studies.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new techniques in CFD and thermal analysis.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors or masters degree in mechanical or Thermal Engineering.
• 6 to 10 years of experience in CFD analysis with a focus on HVAC, thermal systems, or electronics cooling.
• Proficient in CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent, CFX, or similar.
• Experience with CAD tools (e.g., Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks) and transferring models to CFD platforms.
• Knowledge of heat transfer fundamentals, turbulence modelling, and fluid dynamics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in parametric and sensitivity studies.
• Good communication and technical documentation skills.
