Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Engineering & Maintenance department, supervising a team of 1012 members.
Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of all utilities, production, and facility equipment.
Ensure uninterrupted plant operations through effective maintenance planning and asset management.
Handle HVAC, water systems (WFI, purified water), compressed air, boiler, chiller, and effluent treatment systems.
Manage engineering projects including new equipment installation, facility upgrades, and capacity expansion.
Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, and regulatory standards (USFDA, MHRA, WHO-GMP, etc.).
Liaise with cross-functional departments – Production, QA, QC, and EHS – for smooth coordination.
Plan and control engineering budgets, CAPEX, and OPEX expenditures.
Implement energy conservation and cost optimization initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement programs to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Manage external contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely completion of projects.

Candidate Profile:

B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / Industrial Engineering)
15–20 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with strong exposure to engineering and utilities.
Proven experience in leading teams of 10–12 or more members.
Sound knowledge of cGMP, regulatory requirements, and pharma plant operations.
Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills.
Hands-on experience in handling audits and regulatory inspections.
