Educational Qualification

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Production
  
• Freshers can be considered; some preference may be given to those who have completed industrial training / projects.
  
• Good academic record.
  

Key Responsibilities

As a trainee, the candidate will be expected to:

Learning & Assistance

• Learn about the manufacturing processes used in the plant.
  
• Assist senior engineers in daytoday operations of production, quality, maintenance, tooling, etc.

• Production Support

  :
• Monitor machines / equipment during operation for performance, quality, and safety.
  
• Help in preparing and maintaining production reports, documentation, and logs.
  
• Ensure adherence to process parameters and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  

• Quality Assurance / Control

  :
• Inspect parts / assemblies for defects; support the quality team in root cause analysis of nonconformities.
  
• Help with sample testing, measurement, using tools.
  
• Maintain quality records and help in implementing corrective actions.
  

• Process Improvement & Efficiency

  :
• Observe existing workflows and suggest improvements for reducing waste, improving productivity, safety, or cost.
  
• Participate in Kaizen / Lean / 5S / continuous improvement initiatives.
  

• Safety, Environment & Compliance

  :
• Follow safety guidelines strictly.
  
• Ensure good housekeeping.
  
• Understand environmental compliance, waste management, etc.
  

• Reporting & Communication

  :
• Prepare reports (daily/weekly) on assigned tasks, machine performance, quality issues, etc.
  
• Communicate with supervisors / crossfunctional teams regarding issues, progress, etc.
  

Skills / Competencies

• Basic mechanical engineering knowledge: thermodynamics, materials, machining, welding etc.
  
• Understanding of manufacturing processes & machine tools.
  
• Basic computer skills: MS Office, the ability to learn ERP / plant software.
  
• Good measurement skills; ability to use metrology instruments.
  
• Analytical mindset: problem solving, root cause thinking.
  
• Willingness to learn, take instructions, adapt to plant environment.
  
• Good communication skills (verbal & written).
  
• Good work ethic, punctuality, responsibility.
  

Performance Indicators

• Accuracy of work / error rates in assigned tasks.
  
• Ability to meet production / quality targets.
  
• Speed of learning and reduction in supervision required over time.
  
• Participation in improvement efforts.
