Diagnostic Author

The position of Diagnostic Author in Pune, India requires the development of Technical Manuals for the Automotive Industry. Responsibilities include analyzing and graphically representing wiring harness and connector information, researching design and release documents, product development documents, plant installation drawings, parts detail drawings, technical service bulletins, CAD data, and hands-on procedures on Automotives. You will be responsible for developing technical documentation based on assigned equity levels, creating diagnostic procedures using engineering data, documenting teardown and installation processes, ensuring timely and accurate project delivery, validating technical information, gathering product-specific information from clients and subject matter experts, and authoring information using electronic systems such as ArborText, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Additionally, you will advise project managers on project status and issues, provide guidance to less experienced authors, update tracking sheets, participate in meetings with clients and internal teams, and facilitate customer satisfaction by adhering to standards and timelines. Experience in Automotive Electrical Diagnostic Troubleshooting at Dealership/OEM is an additional advantage. Proficiency in tools such as Team Center, X Metal, Grade X, Arbortext editor, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Adobe Indesign, and Adobe FrameMaker is required. Performance will be measured based on meeting client and company quality standards, client satisfaction, on-time delivery, and knowledge of client business. The ideal candidate should have experience working collaboratively with client teams, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, multitasking skills, and a solid understanding of authoring tools. Education requirements include an Associate's degree in Mechanical/Automotive field and 2-5 years of related experience in Automotive Technical Publications. Hands-on experience in vehicle electrical diagnostics is preferred.,
