Job Summary:

Deputy General Manager / Senior Accountant Accounts & Finance

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Operations:

  • Oversee daily accounting tasks including bookkeeping, transaction entries, and ledger reconciliations (General Ledger, Balance Sheet).
  • Monitor subsystem posting positions and ensure completeness and accuracy of ledger data for tax and analytical requirements.
  • Finalize monthly and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, schedules).
  • Prepare and manage consolidated and standalone cash flow statements, cost-centre-wise financials.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor all bank accounts.
  • Maintain control over the creation and classification of ledgers and ledger groups to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records.

  • Adhere to and enforce compliance with the company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while also taking initiative to develop new SOPs wherever necessary.

Compliance & Audits:

  • Ensure timely calculation and filing of taxes including TDS, GST (GSTR-1, 3B), Advance Tax, Professional Tax, MLWF, PF, ESIC, etc.
  • Manage audits and liaise with auditorspreparing audit schedules, vouchers, confirmations, tax records, and legal documentation.
  • Prepare and respond to assessment notices (Income Tax, Sales Tax, PF, ESIC, PT).
  • Ensure compliance with RERA regulations.

Receivables & Payables Management:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions; ensure timely vendor payments and monitor aged debtors.
  • Handle vendor registration as per SOP and provide complete support for queries.
  • Follow up on pending receipts, generate invoices, and ensure timely collection of payments.

Financial Strategy & Fund Management:

  • Ensure optimum utilization of fund-based and non-fund-based facilities.
  • Prepare monthly stock statements and ensure Drawing Power (DP) limits are maintained.
  • Develop and implement internal accounting policies aligned with applicable accounting standards.

Team Collaboration & Communication:

  • Lead and mentor the accounting team to ensure efficient workflow and compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, auditors, and banks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
  • Handle daily communication and queries related to accounts and finance operations.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualifications:

    CA Inter / MBA (Finance) / M.Com or equivalent / B.Com; CA qualification preferred.
  • Experience:

    Minimum 8-15 years of experience in core accounting and finance roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Industry Exposure:

    Real Estate industry preferred.
  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of taxation laws, accounting standards, and statutory compliance.
    • Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
