Position Title: DGM / Sr. Manager Electrical Maintenance (Pipe Plant)

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Job Purpose:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the Electrical Maintenance team in planning and executing maintenance activities for the seamless pipe plant.
• Ensure uninterrupted functioning of all electrical equipment and systems including HT/LT panels, motors, drives (VFDs), PLCs, automation panels, furnaces, and control systems.
• Plan and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with production and mechanical teams during plant breakdowns and ensure quick electrical troubleshooting and resolution.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize power consumption and energy usage across the plant.
• Handle shutdown maintenance, electrical audits, statutory inspections, and compliance with applicable safety norms and electrical regulations.
• Maintain and update documentation related to electrical drawings, preventive schedules, load analysis, and equipment history.
• Manage and supervise installations, modifications, and upgrades of electrical infrastructure as per plant expansion or improvement requirements.
• Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for AMC, spare parts, and technical support.
• Implement and drive improvement initiatives related to automation, energy savings, and electrical system upgrades.

Candidate Profile:

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 12 - 20 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance within a heavy industrial or stainless steel seamless pipe plant.
• Hands-on experience with

  Piercer mills

  ,

  Pilger mills

  ,

  PLC-based control systems

  , and

  HT/LT power distribution

  is essential.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety, statutory compliance, and troubleshooting of complex electrical and automation systems.
• Capable of leading a team and managing multiple responsibilities under pressure.
• Exposure to energy management and electrical system audits is a plus.
