Position Title : DGM (QC) - DRI

Location: Jharkhand

Qualification : B.Tech / M.Tech in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or B.Sc / M.Sc (Chemistry)

Experience: 15+ Years

The incumbent will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance protocols to ensure the production of high-quality sponge iron, compliant with internal standards and customer requirements.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Quality Control department for the 900 TPD DRI plant.
• Develop and enforce quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Monitor and control product quality at various stages raw material, process, and final product.
• Supervise laboratory operations including sample collection, chemical & physical analysis (Fe, FeO, Metallization, Gangue Content, etc.).
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, and raw material procurement teams to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with BIS, ISO, and other applicable quality standards.
• Analyze quality data and generate reports for management and customers.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality control processes and systems.
• Handle customer complaints related to product quality and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure regular calibration and maintenance of quality control instruments.
• Lead internal and external quality audits and compliance reviews.
• Train and develop QC team members for technical skills and SOP adherence.
• Maintain documentation and traceability of QC data and reports.
