DGM-POST Contract Management/BILL Payment

Job Summary

customer contact, government client coordination, PTC processes, Bank Guarantees (BGs), payment follow-up, and recovery.

Contractual obligations under government contracts, particularly those related to Indian Railways

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage payment follow-up and overdue recovery

  across all regions in India to ensure timely collections. •

  Assign responsibilities

  to Regional Marketing and Recovery Teams and ensure

  daily monitoring of collection targets

  . •

  Coordinate with clients, finance, billing, and marketing teams

  to resolve disputes, clarify issues, and expedite payment releases. •

  Conduct regular follow-ups

  through calls, emails, letters, and site visits, as required, to ensure steady progress in collections. •

  Track ageing of receivables

  and implement corrective measures to reduce overdue and long-pending payments. •

  Perform root-cause analysis

  for delayed payments and escalate critical issues to management in a timely manner. •

  Prepare weekly/monthly MIS reports

  and present collection and recovery performance to the management team. •

  Guide, mentor, and monitor

  regional teams to ensure process compliance and effective follow-up discipline. •

  Recover and close all Bank Guarantees (BGs)

  through detailed analysis, documentation review, and continuous follow-up. •

  Carry out profitability analysis

  to support management in overhead-related decision-making. •

  Monitor and control expenses

  of all Marketing Managers to ensure compliance with approved budgets and company policies.

Visit customers on a rotational basis to understand their needs and gather feedback for improvement.

Desired Skills & Competencies

1. Strong understanding of contractual obligations

   under Government contracts, particularly with

   Indian Railways

   , including all post-supply procedures for goods and services.

2. Proven experience

   in government payment follow-ups, documentation, and coordination with departments and authorities (Railways preferred).

3. Solid administrative and leadership skills

   with the ability to effectively manage and drive the performance of a Marketing Team deployed across India.

4. Demonstrated capability in payment recovery

   for high-value machines and AMC contracts, especially within the Government/Railway sector.
