DevSecOps Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As our DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in strengthening our product development and cloud leadership initiatives. This position is designed to ensure secure, efficient, and cost-optimized delivery across AWS, Azure, and multi-cloud platforms, while driving the adoption of DevOps and DevSecOps practices within the organization.

You will function as both an individual contributor and a mentor, enabling teams to independently deliver secure solutions, accelerating product milestones, and ensuring alignment with organizational KPIs.

Core Responsibilities Include:

a. Product & Cloud Architecture

Collaborate with product teams to design secure, scalable, and cost-optimized cloud architectures.

Enable adoption of cloud-native services and AI/ML integration for product innovation.

b. DevOps & Automation

Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines ensuring fast, reliable, and secure releases.

Implement automation frameworks for infrastructure (IaC with Terraform, Pulumi, Bicep, etc.).

Drive monitoring, observability, and performance engineering using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, and Azure Monitor.

c. DevSecOps & Security

Embed shift-left security practices into the development lifecycle.

Implement vulnerability scanning, code analysis, and container image scanning within pipelines.

Apply cloud security best practices including IAM hardening, encryption, and compliance automation.

Manage secrets securely via Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or Azure Key Vault.

Lead security incident response, threat modeling, and Kubernetes/container security.

d. Practice Development & Leadership Alignment

Establish and scale DevOps and DevSecOps practices across the organization.

Mentor engineers to develop cloud, security, and FinOps skill sets.

Contribute to organizational frameworks, reusable modules, and governance policies.

Align with leadership to define KPIs, technical roadmaps, and success metrics.

e. Customer & Pre-Sales Engagement

Participate in pre-sales conversations, RFP responses, and architecture workshops as needed.

Showcase technical solutions that highlight security-first and cost-efficient design.

Build customer confidence by translating technical principles into business value.

f. Ownership & Delivery

Work seamlessly as an individual contributor and team collaborator as per project needs.

Take accountability for deliverables, ensuring progress is aligned with product milestones.

Continuously improve automation, compliance, and operational resilience.

g. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Timely completion of product milestones with secured CI/CD pipelines.

Deployment efficiency, rollback speed, and release reliability.

Compliance with industry security standards (CIS, NIST, ISO, SOC2).

Demonstrated cost optimization and FinOps savings in cloud operations.

• Growth of in-house DevSecOps capabilities and reduced dependency on external support.
