Devops Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer to guide and support a team of DevOps engineers, while being deeply hands-on with deployment, automation, and infrastructure operations. This role requires a strong grasp of DevOps best practices, agile development methodologies, and cloud-native technologies. You will be responsible for delivering scalable, secure, and efficient CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure solutions in collaboration with software development teams.

Role & responsibilities

• Guide and support a team of DevOps engineers to ensure timely and efficient development, deployment, and monitoring of applications and services.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines and ensure the use of best practices in code quality, automation, and monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with software developers, QA, and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth deployments.
• Contribute to and improve the infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and scripting in Python/Bash.
• Work on cloud-based environments including AWS, Azure, and/or GCP for deploying and scaling applications.
• Maintain and enhance observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and integrate alerting/on-call systems like PagerDuty.
• Drive adoption of infrastructure as code (IAC) and container orchestration using Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD.
• Participate in incident response and problem resolution efforts, including writing RCA reports and improving system reliability.
• Promote DevOps culture and best practices within the team and across collaborating engineering teams.

Preferred candidate profile

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or related engineering roles.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, etc.).
• Good knowledge of networking, DNS, Linux systems, and containerization.
• Experience with databases and messaging systems (MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Kafka, etc.)
• Solid understanding of DevSecOps, system security, and compliance practices is a plus.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
