DevOps Lead

As a DevOps professional, your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with software developers, quality assurance engineers, and IT professionals to ensure smooth deployment, automation, and management of software infrastructure. You will be tasked with designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for multiple software applications and environments, as well as automating and streamlining deployment processes to minimize manual intervention and enhance system efficiency. It will be crucial to stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact and recommending adoption when suitable. Troubleshooting software infrastructure issues and working closely with the team to resolve them will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will be expected to lead the DevOps team, maintaining transparent communication with customers, providing guidance and support to team members, and recording and tracking team SLAs and workflows. Implementing metrics-driven processes to ensure service quality will be essential for success in this position. To excel in this role, you should have familiarity with software development processes and methodologies, hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP, and excellent scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Ruby. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet, and knowledge of security best practices for implementing security controls at the infrastructure level are also required. Experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix and Nagios, along with a solid understanding of Linux fundamentals, system administration, performance tuning, networking, routing, and switching is essential. Effective communication and documentation skills will be critical, along with expertise in containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. In terms of technologies, you should be well-versed in Zabbix, Nagios, containerization, AWS, Azure, GCP, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and more.
