Job Description

DevOps Engineer (with DBA Expertise)

Location:

DevOps Engineer with strong DBA expertise

Key Responsibilities

Own and manage
Heroku runtime environments
, pipelines, and CLI administration.
Set up, manage, and optimize
CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
for RoR applications.
Act as the
primary DBA
for
PostgreSQL & Redis
(performance tuning, backups, monitoring, scaling).
Manage
AWS integrations
(S3 for asset storage, CloudFront for CDN delivery).
Ensure
data encryption at rest and in transit
, security best practices, and DR readiness.
Implement
infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting
.
Automate deployments and configuration management using tools like
Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent
.
Collaborate with developers to ensure
smooth releases and database migrations
.
