Devops Engineer

Technical Skills Required:

Cloud Expertise: Cloud-agnostic skills with experience in both physical data centers and cloud services (AWS, Azure).

Services: EC2, S3, Route53, RDS.

Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Experience with Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation.

Containerization & Orchestration: Kubernetes, EKS.

CI/CD Pipelines: Foundational knowledge of Jenkins, Bitbucket, and automated deployment pipelines.

Atlassian Tooling: Jira, Confluence for project and documentation management.

Monitoring & Logging Tools: Grafana, CloudWatch, Kibana, OpenSearch.

Scripting/Programming: Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Perform system administration tasks with a basic understanding of IP/subnetting, networking, and troubleshooting on Linux/Windows environments.

Proactively troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to high utilization, scaling, and infrastructure bottlenecks.

Manage and automate SSL and code signing certificate issuance, renewal, and deployment.

Implement and maintain infrastructure security practices, including password management, access control, and secure configurations.

Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, with strong problem-solving abilities and ownership.

Conduct root cause analysis using methodologies like the Five Whys and document findings.

Create and maintain clear documentation to ensure team-wide knowledge sharing.

Actively contribute to weekly and bi-weekly team meetings, providing input for continuous improvement of DevOps processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset with the ability to work under pressure.

Experience working in hybrid (cloud + physical data center) environments.

Good interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Proven ability to automate repetitive tasks and drive efficiency in operations.
