Summary:As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure. A typical day involves utilizing your expertise in continuous integration, delivery, and deployment, as well as cloud technologies and container orchestration. You will work on building and testing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that systems are secure against potential threats while collaborating with various teams to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of practical, hands-on experience in DevSecOps, focused on CI/CD pipeline engineering and security integration.Advanced proficiency with Jenkins for pipeline orchestration, approval management, and tool integration.Expert-level understanding of Git version control, branching strategies (e.g., Git Flow, trunk-based), and CI/CD alignment.Strong command of Ansible for infrastructure and application deployment automation.Solid experience integrating CI/CD pipelines with security scanning tools (e.g., SonarQube, Fortify, OWASP ZAP/WebInspect, Synopsys SRM, Clair, GitLeaks, etc..).Proven experience with automated test frameworks and integrating test execution and reporting within CI/CD workflows.Hands-on experience with OpenShift (OCP) in on-premises environments, including Helm-based application deployments and namespace-level configuration.Strong knowledge of RBAC implementation across CI/CD tools and Kubernetes environments.Proficient in Jira usage and workflow integration, including automation of ticket updates, linking commits, and enabling traceable release processes.Familiarity with SDLC process alignment (e.g., release gates, rollback validations, ticket linking).Comfortable working directly with pipelines and infrastructure in a hands-on capacity with minimal supervision.Strong troubleshooting skills, scripting ability (e.g., Bash, Python), and CI/CD pipeline debugging expertise.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interface with developers, operations, and security stakeholders.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.DevSecOps, Kubernetes, or Jenkins certifications are a plus. Responsibilities:Design, implement, and optimize robust Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to support automated builds, tests, conditional deployments, rollback logic, and environment-specific delivery strategies.Apply and enforce Git branching and tagging standards to ensure version alignment, traceability, and visibility across environments and releases.Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible to support infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and tool onboarding across the DevSecOps toolchain.Integrate DevSecOps pipelines with application security scanning tools (e.g., SonarQube, Fortify, OWASP ZAP/WebInspect, Synopsys SRM, Clair, GitLeaks), ensuring they are triggered at appropriate pipeline stages and results are captured for gate enforcement.Implement automated test execution (unit, functional, and performance) within pipelines to ensure early issue detection and promote high code quality throughout the SDLC.Ensure effective integration with Jira to automate traceability between pipeline events (builds, tests, promotions) and tracked work items (stories, tasks, bugs).Support the implementation of GitOps workflows using Helm, ensuring all Kubernetes configurations and releases are fully managed through version-controlled repositories.Contribute to standardizing CI/CD logic and implementing rollback mechanisms to enhance deployment resilience and recoverability.Work hands-on in configuring and managing OpenShift (OCP) in on-premises environments, including Helm-based deployments, namespace isolation, and cluster-level rollout strategies.Define and enforce RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) policies across DevSecOps toolchains (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Helm, Ansible) to ensure secure and auditable access segregation.Collaborate with platform, security, and application teams to enable structured promotion gates, audit-compliant approvals, and traceable release processes across all environments.Enforce environment-specific CI/CD pipelines that align with branching, tagging, and promotion guidelines defined in the release governance strategy.Implement automated release gates and visibility dashboards by linking CI/CD events to Jira tickets, Git commits, and promotion approvals.Ensure release and pipeline automation aligns with best practices in compliance, maintainability, and traceability.
