WSP is currently recruiting a talented and highly motivated .NET Software Developer to join our team based in Canada. Other locations may be considered, as it is a predominately remote position. The position will be part of a team focused on the development of business applications, internal as well as client-facing. The team provides database management, software development and web-based information delivery to clients using Azure cloud technologies, following an Agile software development process. Our team provides an incredible learning environment. You ll be exposed to web and database development, cloud technologies, web mapping, data management, and more, and you ll be supported by other developers along the way. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, debug and document applications Write and optimize database queries Communicate effectively with team members Support existing applications as required Other duties, as assigned Role Requirements We embrace enthusiasm and energy, a passion for learning new things, an interest in new technology and innovation, a drive for quality and an eye for detail. Required Skills Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience A Computer Science or Software Engineering degree Competence in creating scalable, data-driven applications using .NET Framework C# .NET/.NET Core JavaScript and JS frameworks like React, Vue, etc. One or more of the following in MS 365 Power Platform: Power Apps Power Automate Dynamics Power BI Competence with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL databases Ability to write SQL queries using a relational database Experience with version control using Git Excellent oral and written communication skills Preferred Skills & Experience (in no particular order) SharePoint Python Azure DevOps Docker container deployments SQL stored procedures and optimizing database queries Cloud services, especially MS Azure Linux Responsive web design and implementation Mobile application development UI/UX design and implementation
