Summary and Role Information As the SAP Ariba Procurement Performance Engineering Team, dedicated to optimizing system performance, ensuring scalability, and delivering a seamless user experience. We work at the intersection of software development, cloud computing, and AI-driven performance optimization to create fast, efficient, and resilient systems. To strengthen our team further, we are looking for experienced developers to work with the leading Infrastructure & Platform-as-a-Service (SAP BTP) Design, automate, execute, and analyse performance qualifications for Cloud products (micro-services and core stack), in private cloud and public clouds (AWS, GCP, and BTP) using in-house built frameworks and tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Dynatrace, etc, against apps built in Java on UNIX platform. Collaboration with various cross-functional teams daily or troubleshooting, release signoffs, and best practices Production Performance, Workload & Usage Analysis on a regular basis for better test designs Continuous learning and research to adopt the latest technologies/processes and work with teams to implement them Assist in guiding the team to apply industry best practices for Performance Engineering/QA processes. Own the functional area and mentor junior team members as required Role Requirements B.S./M.S. Computer Science degree or similar 5-8 years of working experience in Performance Engineering/QA against Java/UNIX-based core stack and micro services applications Experience in AI-driven performance monitoring and optimization. Expertise in all perf testing/engineering concepts and ability to ramp up very quickly Ability to work with ease in a UNIX environment and large-scale architecture environments Good technical understanding of lab environments & architecture, and solid expertise to troubleshoot complex stability, performance issues, including environmental infrastructure/tools issues Very strong scripting (including JavaScript, TypeScript, etc) background to automate performance qualifications Excellent skills with simulations/analysis tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Dynatrace, Splunk etc. Command over performance analysis, including server-side analysis, DB analysis, chaos testing etc. About the Team Procurement Performance Engineering Team is looking for a Senior Performance Engineer to join the team working on cutting-edge AI and cloud performance technologies.
