Job Description

DET/ GET (Civil) - To assist senior engineers in planning, executing, and monitoring highway and road projects.
Job Description:

Site Supervision: Monitoring daily construction activities to ensure work follows approved designs, specifications, and safety standards.
Surveying & Layout: Assisting in site surveys, setting out reference points, and checking road alignments, grades, and elevations.
Quality Control: Performing or overseeing on-site tests for material quality, such as soil compaction, asphalt thickness, and concrete strength.
Documentation: Maintaining accurate site records, including daily progress reports, material consumption logs, and measurement books (MB) for billing.
Design Assistance: Supporting senior engineers in drafting road plans, drainage systems, and geometric designs using software like AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
Quantity Estimation: Assisting in calculating quantities of materials (asphalt, aggregates, cement) and preparing cost estimates for various project phases.
Safety Compliance: Ensuring laborers and subcontractors follow site safety protocols and environmental regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).

Technical Skills:

Basic knowledge of road construction materials and methods (e.g., flexible vs. rigid pavements).
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (especially Excel).
Familiarity with survey instruments like Total Station or Auto Level.
