We are seeking a skilled and motivated Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team and provide exceptional technical support to our users. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:
The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for providing on-site support for hardware, software, and networking issues. You will assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues for end users, ensuring their technology functions optimally. This role is crucial in maintaining productivity by delivering timely support and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to end users by diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, including operating systems, office applications, and other installed software.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other hardware devices.
  • Respond to service desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues or escalating as needed.
  • Assist with system setup, software installation, and the deployment of new desktop equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot local area network (LAN), wireless network, and peripheral devices.
  • Assist with user account management, including password resets and access rights.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement updates, patches, and new software.
  • Document all issues, resolutions, and procedures in a clear and organized manner.
  • Provide training and support to end users on software and hardware use.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on desktop systems, ensuring systems are up to date with the latest security patches.
  • Support remote employees with desktop-related issues and provide solutions via phone or remote desktop tools.
  • Ensure adherence to security protocols and policies in all support activities.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/ IT or BCA/ B.Sc./M.Sc in IT or CS
  • Proven experience in desktop support or technical support roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS), office applications, and common business software.
  • Experience with hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance (PCs, laptops, printers, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of network connectivity, TCP/IP, and VPN configurations.
  • Familiarity with remote desktop tools and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude

Working Conditions:

  • Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
