In the role of a Help Desk team member within our Engineering group, you will play a crucial part in supporting various departments at AQR. Reporting to the Senior Help Desk lead, your responsibilities will include: - Handling initial telephone or email inquiries, troubleshooting, and managing simple hardware, software, or administrative issues. - Installing and configuring hardware, software, and mobile applications. - Identifying and escalating complex problems to senior support technicians. - Assisting in the implementation of new applications and project initiatives. - Testing and evaluating new technologies to meet business requirements. - Recording and monitoring issues in a ticketing system (Service Now) while managing multiple cases simultaneously. - Providing prompt and accurate feedback to customers. - Following up with clients to ensure issue resolution. - Documenting procedures and processes for internal and customer use. The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications: - Preferred certification (Microsoft, A+, Network+, etc.). - 1-3+ years of experience in a help desk environment. - Willingness to work various shifts with short notice and regular overtime. - Proficiency in Windows, MAC, and iOS environments. - Strong oral communication skills. - Attention to detail for maintaining comprehensive notes on tickets. - Ability to diagnose and resolve basic computer technical issues.
