Deskstop Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Hardware Maintenance:

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware components (desktops, laptops, printers, servers, peripherals).
• Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues (malfunctioning components, connectivity problems, peripheral failures).
• Conduct repairs or arrange for replacements of faulty hardware, minimizing disruptions to the business.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware assets, including warranty tracking and lifecycle replacements.
• Provide technical support to end-users for hardware-related issues and ensure prompt resolutions.
• Keep detailed records of hardware configurations, repairs, and updates.

Network Maintenance:

• Monitor and maintain network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points).
• Diagnose and resolve network issues (connectivity problems, hardware failures, software conflicts).
• Implement and manage network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
• Perform regular updates and patches to network systems and software for security and feature enhancement.
• Provide technical support for network-related issues (connectivity problems, VPN access, network printer setup).
• Maintain records of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.

Network Optimization:

• Analyze network performance and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree

  in Information Technology or a related field.

• Certifications

  : CCNA, MCSA, Hardware A+, or any relevant networking certification.

• Experience

  : Proven experience in network support, with a solid understanding of network infrastructure and protocols.
• Strong

  problem-solving skills

  and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent

  communication skills

  (both written and verbal).
