The Security Specialist Finance will be responsible for designing, building, and managing SAP security roles with a strong focus on Finance processes within SAP S/4HANA. The role requires deep experience in SAP ECC and S/4, with the last 5+ years focused primarily on S/4HANA. The specialist will create and maintain individual and composite roles, ensuring proper access controls, segregation of duties, and alignment with Finance business requirements. This position is fully remote, with occasional quarterly travel.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain SAP S/4HANA Finance security roles, including individual and composite roles.
Ensure security compliance and proper role design aligned with Finance business processes in S/4HANA.
Analyze access requirements and map them to secure, efficient, and compliant SAP roles.
Manage user access controls, role assignments, and authorization objects within Finance modules.
Evaluate and optimize existing SAP security roles across ECC and S/4 environments.
Support Finance and cross-functional teams to resolve security issues, authorization failures, and access-related defects.
Perform testing of security roles during upgrades, enhancements, and system changes.
Ensure adherence to security standards, segregation of duties (SoD), and audit requirements.
Collaborate with technical teams during role creation, updates, and environment migrations.

Experience Requirements

1015 years of strong SAP experience across ECC and S/4HANA systems.
Minimum 5+ years of recent, hands-on experience specifically in S/4HANA security.
Proven background in designing and managing Finance-related SAP roles and authorization structures.
