Design specialist Hood Bonnet

Are you passionate about automotive design and engineering excellence We are looking for a BIW Bonnet Design Lead to join our dynamic team and drive innovation in vehicle architecture! As a BIW Bonnet Design Lead, you will have the opportunity to utilize your experience in Hood/Bonnet Design & Development at an Automobile OEM, with around 4 to 8 years of experience. Your responsibilities will include developing and refining 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for hood outer panels, inner reinforcements, hinges, latches, and strikers. It will be crucial for you to ensure compliance with pedestrian protection regulations and front crash safety standards. Collaboration with teams in BIW, sealing, latching, thermal management, and styling will be essential to ensure proper integration. To excel in this role, you should possess a strong knowledge of tooling feasibility, material selection (steel, aluminum, composites), and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in Catia and PLM software like Teamcenter is required. Additionally, you should have sound knowledge of engineering and system documents such as DFMEA, DVP, DFA, etc., along with good technical knowledge of automotive Sheet metal parts, manufacturing, and assembly processes. Your educational background should include a B.E in Mechanical/Automobile with 3-10 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in BIW bonnet or closure system design, along with a strong knowledge of sheet metal, GD&T, packaging, and tooling constraints. Proficiency in CAD tools such as Catia V5/V6, NX, etc., and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment are also key requirements.
