As a Powertrain Engineer with 4-8 years of experience, you will be responsible for executing activities to ensure the validated release and sign-off of dedicated vehicle components and sub-systems. Your role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams to obtain input from relevant areas and ensure the successful packaging of High Voltage Cables, busbars, and Plastic carriers for HV & LV Battery pack. You will also update harness routing and busbars based on repackaging of interface components, collaborating with systems engineers for design changes, conducting stack-up analysis, and developing harness/busbar/cell packaging. Your responsibilities will include creating test cases, design rules, and requirements, as well as benchmarking, concept development, and managing DFMEA, PFMEA, BOD, BOP. Additionally, you will work on QAF, RFQ, and Support Plan with supplier/buyer & VFM team, design and develop interface plastics/sheet metal components, support supplier PPAP activities and audits, and develop engineering solutions for build issues. You will participate in the creation of circuit schematics, validate vehicle architecture, release 3D Harness Assembly Model in PLM, manage change management processes, and select harness coverings based on routing and packaging. Your knowledge and experience should include prior experience with HV battery pack, Cells, and Modules, as well as hands-on experience with EDS HV harness, busbars, and BMS. You should have experience with GD&T, tolerance stack-up, sheet metal, and plastic part design, along with excellent communication skills, knowledge of tooling feasibility, raw materials, and design life cycle processes. Experience in electrical wiring harness, busbar, fuse, connectors, relays, routing, and packaging in CATIA V5/V6, system release responsibility, project delivery processes, and bracket design/plastic parts design will be preferred. Overall, you should be adept at problem-solving techniques, understanding DFMEA, PFMEA, ECR processes, and manufacturing methods/technologies used for EDS Power Distribution. Your role will involve supporting builds, creating supply plans, resolving production vehicle issues, and contributing to the full design life cycle process, ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry best practices.,
