Design & Release Engineer- Lighting System

As an integral part of the team, you will play a key role in establishing lighting performance targets for various programs. Your responsibilities will include understanding cost targets and estimates, and developing delivery plans that align with program cost and budgets. In case of challenges, you will be expected to make tough choices and create recovery plans as necessary. Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will work closely with supplier product development teams during proposal development. Additionally, you will closely engage with design studio teams to review the feasibility of surfaces released, providing feedback and resolving any issues that may arise. Your role will encompass overall project management for lighting systems, including tracking issues and design corrective action status to ensure timely resolution. You will be required to analyze and resolve faults and errors, communicating effectively with key stakeholders in a professional manner. Flexibility is key, as you may need to work in different time zones to support business operations. You will also be responsible for supporting and enforcing program-specific milestone approvals, as well as assisting with CAD-based packaging, interface checks, and Physical Design Verification (DV) testing to facilitate Engineering Sign-Off. Furthermore, your role will involve supporting launch activities, both onsite and offsite, as and when required. You will also be involved in supporting homologation and regulatory testing at designated test locations such as ARAI and NATRIP. Overall, this position requires a proactive and detail-oriented approach to ensure the successful implementation of lighting systems within various programs, while maintaining alignment with cost targets, program timelines, and quality standards.,
