As a Textile Print Designer, your role involves trend research and conducting in-depth market surveys to understand market needs thoroughly. You will explore patterns, colors, and techniques to create new and unique print designs that align with the brand's product range. Your responsibilities include developing print designs, planning placements, motifs, and layouts, as well as researching and developing ideas from various sources. You will utilize software packages to create new effects and work on designing new prints seasonally. In this role, you will be required to provide design/concept boards to communicate the design and seasonal direction for textile prints, materials, and trims. Additionally, you will experiment with color, fabric, and texture, while working within budget and deadlines. It is essential to stay updated with current trends and production techniques, studying fashion trends and anticipating designs that will resonate with consumers. Furthermore, you will create fabric designs and patterns for woven, knitted, and printed materials, deciding on themes for collections and planning and developing ranges. Collaboration with sales, buying, and production teams is crucial to ensure that the items suit the customer, market, and price points.
