Job Description

Role Overview:

Responsible for the design of custom refrigeration rack systems. This includes design of refrigerated rack system involving rack structure, component assembly, piping, control panel, Sheetmetal and detailed drawings based on sales orders for refrigeration systems in Solid works. Generate Submittal and Manufacturing drawings of refrigeration system products as per ANSI, ASTM standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Sheetmetal parts and weldment assembly independently.
Develop detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs for sheet metal and weldment assemblies.
Follow the Product Engineering process. Re-design old products to improve manufacturing and decrease cost.
Contribute to design FMEA and process FMEA to reduce product launch issues.
ECN preparation, submissions and Maintain documentation. Writing or presenting reports for project managers and clients. Document and communicate well at each step. Interface with customers, internally and externally, on technical details and project goals. Be the owner of assigned project/task.

Key Skills & Competencies (Must Have SKILLS):

Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
. Ability to read and interpret the Engineering drawings and convert 2D to 3D and vice-verse swiftly.
Structural Design, Sheet Metal and Weldment Design
Proficiency in working with SolidWorks EPDM

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering (master’s preferred).
• 3–6 years of experience in product design within HVAC/ Refrigeration or custom equipment/structures domains. • Proven experience CAD modeling and drafting.
