Roles and Responsibility

Boiler and Heater Design Support

Assist in preparing Heat and Mass Balance Diagrams (HMBDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).

Support thermal sizing and preliminary engineering of boilers, heaters, and related components based on project requirements.

Drawing and Documentation Preparation

Create and release manufacturing drawings, General Arrangement and Technical Particulars (GATP), and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Contribute to drafting project-specific documents like foundation drawings, site layouts, and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.

Material and Component Selection

Assist in selecting materials as per Indian Boiler Regulations (IBR), IS, ASTM, BS, and EN standards.

Perform basic mechanical strength and sizing calculations for pressure and non-pressure parts under supervision.

Bought-Outs and Subsystems Coordination

Help in sizing and selecting bought-out equipment such as fans, pumps, ash/fuel handling systems, and pollution control devices.

Support review of vendor datasheets, technical specifications, and general arrangement drawings (GADs).

Layout and System Design Assistance

Support development of block layouts and hookup schemes for integration with customer facilities.

Provide design inputs for piping and structural layouts in coordination with vendors and internal teams.

Project Coordination

Coordinate with internal teams (Projects, Proposals, Materials, Vendors) to gather inputs and finalize design aspects.

Attend internal design reviews and support resolution of engineering queries.

Customer and Consultant Interaction Support

Assist in managing customer/consultant queries and technical reviews during various project stages.

Incorporate client feedback and revisions into engineering deliverables.

Use of Engineering Tools and Software

Utilize tools like AutoCAD, Solid Edge, PDMS (Plant Design Management System), and TEKLA for 2D/3D modeling.

Support structural and piping analysis through STAAD and CAESAR under guidance.

Safety Norms Adherence:

Contribute to building a safe and risk-free work environment.

Report safety incidents or potential hazards promptly as per protocol.
