Job Description

As a Design Engineer at our company, your role will involve designing temporary support systems for concrete, with a focus on creating detailed drawings and performing calculations to ensure structural integrity and safety, particularly for precast segments. Your key responsibilities will include using design software, selecting materials, collaborating with site and project teams to solve technical issues, and ensuring compliance with codes and project specifications. This position requires a civil/mechanical engineering degree and proficiency in CAD software, along with experience in conventional and modular formwork systems. Your responsibilities and duties will include: - Design & Optimization: Developing and optimizing formwork systems for precast segments and other structures to ensure designs are safe, buildable, and economical. - Structural Analysis: Performing structural calculations to verify the formwork's ability to withstand concrete pressure, dead loads, live loads, and other relevant construction loads. - Material Selection: Choosing suitable materials for formwork based on factors like cost, durability, and strength. - Documentation: Creating detailed design drawings, 3D models, design calculations, and method statements as required by the project and for submission to clients and authorities. - Coordination: Collaborating closely with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and consultants to provide technical advice and address design-related challenges. - Site Support: Conducting site visits as necessary to offer guidance and ensure the correct implementation of formwork designs and safety protocols. - Compliance: Ensuring that designs and processes align with project requirements, safety standards, and relevant building codes and standards. Essential Skills & Qualifications: - Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering. - Software Proficiency: Strong skills in CAD Software like AutoCAD, Solid Works & STAADPRO for creating 2D and 3D drawings and potentially specialized design analysis software. - Technical Knowledge: Understanding of formwork and shoring systems, including modular and conventional types. - Structural Principles: Knowledge of concrete pressure, construction loads, wind loads, and stability design for civil structures. - Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders. - Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and address technical challenges and adapt designs to site conditions. - Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of Long line/Short line Segment, Steel Bridges, I Girder Shutter, Pier & Pier Cap.,
