Design Engineer - Pressure Vessels (Creo / ASME Section VIII)

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer with hands-on experience in pressure vessel design as per ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 and knowledge of U-stamping requirements. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Creo and have sound knowledge of fabrication drawings, material selection, and mechanical design calculations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and related equipment as per ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 and other applicable standards.
• Prepare and review 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using PTC Creo.
• Perform design calculations for pressure parts, nozzles, supports, and other components as per ASME codes.
• Ensure all designs comply with U-stamp and ASME certification requirements.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation for manufacturing.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and inspection teams for design clarification and fabrication feasibility.
• Interact with third-party inspection agencies (TPI) for design verification and code compliance.
• Review P&IDs, GA drawings, and client specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and testing stages.
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–7 years of experience in design of pressure vessels / heat exchangers.
• Proficiency in PTC Creo (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 1, U-Stamp procedures, and related code requirements.
• Familiarity with WPS/PQR, weld joint design, and fabrication practices.
• Understanding of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes for pressure vessels.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of design software such as Compress / PV Elite will be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working with fabrication industries or EPC companies manufacturing coded pressure equipment.
• Exposure to non-destructive testing (NDT) and inspection documentation.
• Working knowledge of heat exchanger design or skid packages preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
