Design Engineer, Modernization Engineering (Mechanical)

As a part of the Crane Modernizations and Spare Parts Engineering team at Konecranes, you will be responsible for performing engineering assignments for various projects. You will develop drawings and BOM using AutoCAD, adhere to drawing standards and CAD methodology, and modularize designs in relevant PLM tools. Your role will involve proposing ideas for process improvement, handling projects independently, providing warranty support, ensuring quality and efficiency in tasks, and upholding the company's code of ethics and standards. - Perform engineering assignments for assigned projects under the guidance of the Line Manager - Develop drawings and BOM using AutoCAD that meet engineering specifications - Modularize designs and maintain them in relevant PLM tools - Follow project scope work instructions and descriptions - Adhere to drawing standards and CAD methodology - Identify problem areas, propose continuous improvement ideas, and ensure quality and efficiency in tasks - Guide fellow design engineers and work in different work groups and projects - Provide urgent warranty support as needed - Uphold and abide by the code of ethics and management - Maintain awareness of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards Qualifications: - B.E. in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile / Production Engineering - Minimum 3-5 years of experience in design & development - Expertise in AutoCAD (Mechanical) is a must - Experience in crane and lifting equipment industry preferred - Experience in NX CAD (or other 3D modelling software) & Teamcenter is an added advantage In addition to the qualifications, the following skills and competencies are essential for this role: - Strong technical understanding of mechanical drawings - Good knowledge of mechanical engineering design and manufacturing processes - Knowledge of hoist components and crane parts is advantageous - Proficient in MS Office tools like MS Excel and PowerPoint - Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment - Good communication skills in written and spoken English - Ability to work effectively with a globally distributed team,
