Design Engineer I

Your Job: In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on our automotive solutions to support next generation automotive connector design, development, and product ownership. What You Will Do: - Product Design: - Project Definition: Product scope, voice of customer, concept generation - Predictive Engineering: Executes DFMEA, Tolerance Analysis - Detailed Design: Creates product models & drawings using GD&T methodology, plastic and sheet-metal part design - Design Verification, Product Validation: - Validation Plan: Develop test plans (DVP&Rs) to validate product performance and analyze test results using statistical methods - Problem Solving: Lead root cause analysis utilizing structured problem-solving methods(8D) Who You Are (Basic Qualifications): - Work Experience: 5-9 years product design experience - Education: - Required: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent science degree - Preferred: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent science degree - Skills: New product design process, Concept generation, DFMEA, GD&T, Tolerance analysis, DVPR, Plastic parts, Manufacturability, Problem solving What Will Put You Ahead: At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
