Responsibilities

• Develop detailed HVAC system designs including layout, ductwork, piping, and equipment selection.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations related to HVAC systems.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineers to integrate HVAC systems into building designs effectively.
• Conduct energy modeling and system analysis to optimize performance and efficiency of HVAC systems.
• Prepare and present technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and design calculations.
• Evaluate existing HVAC systems for retrofitting opportunities and recommend enhancements or replacements.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving HVAC system issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in HVAC system design with a strong portfolio of past projects.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, or similar tools).
• Strong understanding of HVAC principles, equipment, and energy efficiency practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or working toward licensure is preferred but not required.
