Design Engineer (Draughtsman)

As an Offer Management Specialist for Racking Systems, your role involves working closely with global and local vendors, as well as India teams, to identify and offer the right racking solutions for the India market. Your key responsibilities include: - Deciding on optimum solutions and accessories for each type of racking. - Providing guidelines for the selection of vendors based on the racking solution. - Controlling the price level of every solution in collaboration with vendors. - Working on price optimization based on customer specifics with the help of the Sales team. - Developing and maintaining a standard price list with vendors. - Ensuring sufficient inventory of hardware is maintained to support the installation team for project completion. - Supporting the Sales team with localized price lists, brochures, and catalogues. In the area of Proposal & Application Engineering for Projects, you will: - Support the Sales team for application engineering along with racking solutions. - Study RFQ/tender documents in detail for technical, scope, and commercial details. - Strategize with the Sales team to prepare personalized solutions for clients. - Assist the Sales team with technical questions. - Prepare technically and commercially clear proposals in line with organizational profitability guidelines. - Support the Sales team during commercial and technical negotiations. - Prepare MIS reports on Sales results. - Keep track of the status of all open enquiries and any ongoing issues. - Evaluate racking vendor projects on a regular basis. - Maintain ISO documentation standards. Your responsibilities also include providing basic racking training to the Sales team and understanding the company's goals and purposes to enhance its performance. Qualifications required for this position include: - Essential technical knowledge. - Draughtsman knowledge is a must. - Specialized knowledge in Racking and Material Handling Equipment. - Market segments and industry knowledge. - Skills in presentation and customer handling. - Abilities in detailed application engineering, team working, and professional certification in AutoCAD 2D & 3D.
