Design Engineer - Civil & Structural

As a Structural Design Engineer at our client's organization in Chennai, you will be responsible for the following: - Utilizing hands-on experience in designing RCC structures & Steel structures using Staad Pro V8i. - Independently preparing structural design reports & drawings based on architectural layouts. - Checking the capacity of base plates & other Structural Steel connections. - Demonstrating proficiency in Checking RCC & Steel Detailing / BBS & MTO. - Applying experience in designing Foundations using MS Excel spreadsheets. - Applying good knowledge of Design Codes such as ACI-318, BS8110 & IS456. - Utilizing strong skills in MS Excel formulas & manual calculations when necessary. - Understanding client requirements & preparing design reports with minimal supervision. - Checking drawings for design intent & marking up corrections. - Allocating, planning & monitoring work assigned to the drafting team to ensure project schedules are met. - Demonstrating good skills in AutoCAD for preparing basic layouts & General Arrangement / Detailing Drawings. - Having strong communication skills, being a team player, and being able to work with minimal supervision.
