Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Condensed Responsibilities

1. Client & Stakeholder Management:

   Build strong relationships with architects, PMCs, cost consultants, client representatives, and industry influencers; participate in key meetings/workshops and generate leads for new projects.

2. Project Leadership & Team Management:

   Guide, mentor, and assign responsibilities to engineers; groom supporting staff; ensure efficient query resolution; maintain close interaction with teams for ongoing and upcoming opportunities.

3. Design Review & Technical Oversight:

   Review MEP/HVAC design drawings, DBRs, concept reports, circuitries, layouts (power, lighting, ducting, sprinklers, plumbing, RCP), SLDs, HVAC schematics, and as-fitted drawings.

4. Standards, Codes & Quality Compliance:

   Stay updated on relevant codes/standards, identify quality issues, prepare quality/site reports, and review design and development records to ensure compliance.

5. Technical Calculations & Engineering Analysis:

   Perform load analysis (structural/MEP), head load and electrical load reviews, MD calculations, and other project-specific engineering evaluations.

6. MEP Coordination & Systems Integration:

   Coordinate all MEP systems, review technical submittals on time, and ensure seamless integration between disciplines for smooth project execution.

7. Project Tracking & Documentation:

   Maintain project documentation, track milestones, prepare timely observations, and report regularly to higher management on status and progress.

8. Execution Support & Consultation:

   Provide timely technical guidance during execution, support site activities, ensure deliverables meet client requirements, and keep projects on schedule.

9. Business Development & Networking:

   Develop strategies for industrial/commercial sectors, maintain long-term professional relationships, generate leads from networks, and help document project case studies.

10. Financial & Administrative Oversight:

    Track project expenses, billing cycles, outstanding amounts, TDS certificates, and ensure financial discipline throughout the project lifecycle.

Preferred candidate profile

1.Desired Attributes 2.Strong expertise and technical knowledge of MEP, HVAC Design. 3. Prior experience in Design consultancies with Data Centre projects is preferred. 4.Proactive mindset with a passion for design and innovation.
