Hiring: Design Assistant cum Merchandiser – Home Textiles
Company: Onset Homes (D2C + B2B Soft Furnishing Brand)
Location: Kolkata
We are looking for a Design Assistant cum Merchandiser who can efficiently manage coordination between design, production, and clients within the home décor & soft furnishing industry.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the design team with fabric swatches, trims, mood boards & sample tracking
Coordinate with vendors, artisans, dye houses & export units
Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and pass clear briefs to the design team
Maintain production timelines, order sheets & approvals
Support in basic presentations, catalog updates & documentation
Ideal Candidate
Background in Textiles / Fashion / Interiors (not graphic design)
Fluent in English – written & spoken (for client interaction)
Strong follow-up, coordination & backend management skills
Organised, sincere & eager to grow within the home textiles industry
