Deputy Manager / Manager - Information Technology

The candidate should lead the IT operations team, manage service delivery, and ensure compliance with security standards while supporting business growth and resilience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

IT Operations & Infrastructure

• Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring SLA adherence and system availability.
• Manage

  JumpCloud, AWS, Microsoft 365, and Linux environments

  .
• Administer

  Proxmox / Virtualization platforms

  for hosting applications and workloads.
• Implement and maintain

  Metallic Backup & Recovery

  solutions for critical data protection.

Security Operations

• Manage and monitor

  SentinelOne EDR

  for endpoint protection and threat response.
• Oversee

  Netskope (CASB / SSE / SWG)

  for cloud security and web filtering.
• Administer

  enterprise firewalls

  FortiGate, Sophos, and Check Point for network perimeter defense.
• Enforce security policies: IPS/IDS, DLP, VPN, and Zero Trust access.
• Work with SOC/SIEM for log correlation, incident detection, and forensic analysis.

MDM, Patch & Device Management

• Implement

  MDM (Intune / JumpCloud)

  for device compliance and lifecycle management.
• Supervise

  patch management

  for OS, applications, and firmware.
• Ensure

  reporting and analytics

  on compliance, vulnerabilities, and operational KPIs.

Identity, Access & Remote Connectivity

• Manage

  advanced IAM

  with SSO, MFA, and RBAC across AWS, O365, and SaaS platforms.
• Administer secure

  remote access

  (VPN, SASE, Zero Trust).
• Ensure proper provisioning/de-provisioning of access for joiners/movers/leavers.

Monitoring, Logging & Analytics

• Centralize event logging across firewalls, cloud, endpoints, and backup systems.
• Generate periodic

  reports for compliance, security posture, and system uptime

• Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Team & Vendor Management

• Lead the IT operations team, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development.
• Coordinate with vendors (firewall, EDR, backup, cloud service providers).
• Manage IT asset lifecycle, licensing, renewals, and contracts.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 7 to 10 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in IT operations/security management.
• Strong expertise in:

• JumpCloud, AWS, Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Intune, Defender, Teams)

• Linux administration & virtualization (Proxmox/VMware/Hyper-V)

• Backup & DR (Metallic, Veeam, or Commvault)

• Firewalls: FortiGate, Sophos, Check Point

• Endpoint Security (SentinelOne)

• Cloud Security (Netskope CASB/SSE/SWG)

• Hands-on knowledge of:

• MDM & Patch Management

• IAM, MFA, RBAC, PAM

• SIEM, logging & monitoring tools

• Familiarity with ITIL practices and ISO 27001 / SOC2 compliance.
• Strong communication, vendor management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Certifications

• ITIL v4 Foundation (required / preferred)
• AWS Certified SysOps / Solutions Architect
• Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert
• JumpCloud Core Certification (JCCP)
• Firewall certifications: Fortinet NSE, Sophos Certified Engineer, Check Point CCSA/CCSE
• SentinelOne Ranger / Security certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM)
• Linux / Virtualization (RHCE, LFCS, Proxmox VE certifications)
• Backup & DR (Commvault / Metallic Certified Professional)
