Deputy Manager Machining

Role Overview: As a Production Planning and Execution Associate for nuclear pumps components manufacturing in the machine shop, your main responsibility will be to ensure efficient operation and scheduling of various CNC machines. You will play a crucial role in training associates, monitoring production quality, and coordinating with different teams to meet set targets. Key Responsibilities: - Train associates to operate and program various CNC machines effectively. - Monitor and control proper loading and scheduling work for all work centers to ensure optimal utilization. - Implement and execute a plan to minimize rejection and rework of components. - Maintain shop discipline, 5S, housekeeping, and safety standards in the machine shop. - Develop associates" skill sets in precision machining components. - Initiate productivity improvement activities using new tools and CAM programs. - Develop skill sets for EDM, Lapping, Polishing, and Hirth grinding in the machine shop. - Coordinate with planning, purchase, and assembly teams to achieve production targets. - Plan for the procurement of new machines, specifically large VTL and HBM machines. Qualifications Required: - Experience in production planning and execution within a manufacturing environment. - Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines. - Strong understanding of shop discipline, 5S, housekeeping, and safety practices. - Knowledge of precision machining components and productivity improvement techniques. - Familiarity with EDM, Lapping, Polishing, and Hirth grinding processes. - Excellent coordination and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.,
