Job Description

Deputy Manager - Debt Management Services - Rural
Job Purpose
The Debt Management Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating the recovery of overdue payments on loans or credit accounts. Duties and Responsibilities

Achieve collections target by visiting customers/agencies.

Monitor performance against set parameters and provide regular updates.

Ensure legal guidelines are complied with while repossessing products.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.

Provide regular reports on collection activities and performance.

Handle escalations promptly and effectively to resolve issues.

Daily DRR (Daily Risk Report) management.

Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates.

Case to case tracking.

Resolution as per AOP within agreed timelines.

Portfolio management.

Debt collection strategy.

Target achievement.

Regulatory compliance.

Reporting and analysis.

Risk management.

Team leadership.

Vendor management.

Coordinating with internal and external clients.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Proven experience in debt collection or recovery, preferably in rural segments.

Strong understanding of regulatory and legal requirements related to collections.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to handle escalations and resolve customer issues effectively.

Experience in portfolio and risk management.

Demonstrated ability to work with teams and manage vendors.

Proficiency in reporting and analysis of collection activities.
