Job Purpose

The Debt Management Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating the recovery of overdue payments on loans or credit accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Achieve collections target by visiting customers/agency.
• Monitor performance against set parameters and provide regular updates.
• Ensure legal guidelines are complied with while repossessing products.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
• Provide regular reports on collection activities and performance.
• Handle escalations promptly and effectively to resolve issues.
• Daily DRR (Daily Risk Report) management.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates.
• Case to Case tracking.
• Resolution at per AOP within agreed timelines.
• Portfolio Management.
• Debt Collection Strategy.
• Target Achievement.
• Regulatory Compliance.
• Reporting and Analysis.
• Risk Management.
• Team Leadership.
• Vendor Management.
• Co-ordinating with internal and external clients.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in achieving collections targets by engaging with customers/agencies.
• Ability to monitor performance and provide regular updates.
• Knowledge of legal guidelines related to repossession processes.
• Skill in maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
• Expertise in reporting on collection activities and performance.
• Capability to handle escalations and resolve issues efficiently.
• Experience with Daily Risk Report (DRR) management.
• Ability to develop and implement collection improvement strategies.
• Strong case tracking and resolution skills within agreed timelines.
• Portfolio management experience.
• Understanding of debt collection strategies and target achievement.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and risk management practices.
• Experience in reporting and analysis.
• Team leadership and vendor management skills.
• Proven ability to coordinate with both internal and external clients.
