Job Description

Job Title:

Deputy General Manager – Mechanical

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all mechanical maintenance activities for the
Pyro section
and
Vertical Roller Mill
.
Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues in kilns, preheaters, coolers, and grinding units.
Oversee installation, commissioning, and major overhauls of mechanical equipment.
Manage a large team of engineers and technicians to ensure smooth plant operations.
Coordinate with production, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
Monitor spare parts inventory, control maintenance costs, and ensure budget adherence.
Ensure safety, compliance, and documentation as per company and statutory standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in equipment performance and reliability.

Candidate Profile:

Educational Qualification:
B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
Experience:
Minimum 20 years in mechanical maintenance in the
cement industry
, specifically in
Pyroprocessing and VRM
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills
Proven experience in handling shutdowns and critical maintenance operations
Willingness to work at a remote plant location
