Molding Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Launch cost reduction by checking IMM interface with tool specifications and tool readiness cost must be Zero for tool function and interface.
• Responsible for tool trials and analysis the failure in trials, Validate the MFA.
• Responsible for DFMEA and PFMEA of injection moulding process
• Tracking the process related issues and defining actions and validating the result to save the launching cost.
• Control scrap reduction by validating process and part as per design.
• Developed the peoples skill with the support of methodological tools for problem solving like DOE, 4M, 5WHY etc.
• Advance tooling standard implementation by making lesson learning library for tool and process related issues. Design checklist, IMM standardization.
• Overseeing & reviewing production related tasks including planning, control, and troubleshooting.
• Optimizing man, machine & process utilization to achieve production targets.
• OEE analysis and improvement plan.
• Attain scrap board meeting daily & complete the related task in a systematic and planned manner to meet the deadlines.
• Developing new process concepts for production optimization, improvement and developing guidelines for the sequencing of manufacturing activities on the shop floor.
• Prepare and maintain ISO/TS 16949 & IATF standards documents like Control Plan, PFD, and PFMEA etc.
• Continual improvements projects (Cycle time study, SMED, Kaizen & 5s).
• Planning and effectuating preventive maintenance schedules of various Molds / Machineries to increase machine up time and equipment reliability by co-operation with plant maintenance team.
• Proactively identifying areas of obstruction/breakdowns and take steps to rectify the equipment.

Preferred candidate profile

• Full depth knowledge of injection moulding like machine setting, process setting, trouble shooting, trials, etc.
• Expertise in HRS, sequential injection, robots, etc,
• Must be familiar with resins like PC, ABS, PC ABS, etc.
• Must have exposure to machines from 100 Tons till 1250 Tons.
• Exposure to 2K will be an added advantage.
• Experience in automotive parts preferred.
• To handle all activities of injection moulding department like technical setting, new mould trials, manpower planning, raw material planning etc.
• 1K machines from 100 Tons till 850 Tons.
• 2K machines up to 1250 Tons.
• Good communication skills.
• Interaction with customers.
• Knowledge of Lean Management Involved in improvement in Overall efficiency of the equipment (OEE) and Reading reduced Mold change time by using SMED.
• Actively involved in minimizing rejection percentage and developed the team.
• Actively involved in TS 16949 recertification Audit for Injection moulding department
• Conducting process audits and driving actions for improvement.
