Job Description

As the Head of Finance at a Hyderabad-based F&B brand specializing in baked delights and fast-moving food items, your responsibilities will include creating forecasting models, assessing risk in investments, and ensuring all accounting activities comply with regulations. Your role will be crucial in crafting financial strategies, managing accounting teams, and maintaining the company's financial health to increase profitability in the long run. - Evaluate Business Proposals for the organization and assist in corporate and long-range financial planning activities. - Finalize, recommend, and implement the finance commercial strategy for the organization. - Analyze the organization's performance periodically using financial metrics, identify long-term issues, and contribute to strategic budget setting. - Drive organization-wide focus on strategic cost management for cost reductions. - Assist in decision-making processes involving changes in laws, statutes, regulations, and other norms. - Follow the supply chain cost architecture suitable for business needs and ensure coordination with purchasing, manufacturing, and logistics functions. - Support new business opportunities, evaluate verticals, and recommend chosen opportunities. - Work with the business units to encourage growth opportunities through acquisitions. - Advise and support strategic initiatives such as restructuring, joint ventures, and portfolio reviews. - Design appropriate MIS for review mechanisms and create infrastructure for regulatory support. - Set up processes for regular business reviews with RD/innovations and Operations. - Support managing performance management systems, target setting, performance measurement, and reward systems. - Organize MIS on actual PL vs. budgets, provide analysis, insights into variances, and action plans. - Act as a conscience-keeper by raising flags where necessary and setting up control systems. - Prepare and evaluate capex proposals and manage margins including pricing and competition monitoring. - Facilitate commercial evaluations in various business areas as required. - Take responsibility for people development initiatives and succession planning. - Interact with process heads to foster an efficient work pattern. - Establish standardized systems and processes for financial operations and ensure the development of standard operating procedures. - Ensure necessary training and knowledge up-gradation of employees and internal customer satisfaction. **Required Skills and Education:** - Minimum 12-15 years of experience in Finance with 5 years managing financial reporting at a senior level. MBA or ICWA, Semi CA qualification required. - Proven track record in Financial Accounting, Modelling, Forecasting, Budgeting, Analysis, and Reporting. - Experience in developing and executing business strategies, coordinating resources, and working with auditors. - Advanced excel skills, knowledge of gofrugal or similar software advantageous. - Strong commercial acumen and ability to define and perform financial forecasting and reporting strategies.
