Job Description

Role Overview:

The Resident Construction Manager (RCM) will be the overall in-charge for site execution of the EPC project at Kochi. The incumbent will be responsible for managing all construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and timeline adherence, and acting as the point of coordination between the client, contractors, vendors, and the corporate project team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all site construction, installation, and commissioning activities for the project.
  • Plan, organize, and manage manpower, materials, and machinery to ensure timely project completion.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to design specifications, safety norms, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project control teams for smooth execution.
  • Conduct daily/weekly progress reviews and share reports with HO and client representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, local authorities, and environmental norms.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive planning and stakeholder engagement.
  • Supervise subcontractors and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Handle site documentation, billing inputs, and material reconciliation.
  • Drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the site team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary site teams.
  • Experience in managing client interfaces and multiple subcontractors.

Preferred Certifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) desirable.
  • NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA certification preferred for safety management.
  • Primavera / MS Project – proficiency preferred.
  • Quality certifications such as ISO / Six Sigma will be an added advantage.

  • Sound understanding of EPC project lifecycle and site management.
  • Strong interpersonal, client-handling, and communication skills.
