Role Overview

Deputy Collection Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and control the overall

  collection operations

  for business loans (secured & unsecured) in the assigned territory.
• Ensure timely follow-up and recovery of overdue accounts through

  field visits, tele-calling, and agency coordination

  .
• Monitor and manage a portfolio of delinquent customers to minimize NPAs and achieve monthly collection targets.
  
• Supervise and guide collection executives/agency staff to ensure adherence to company policies and compliance standards.
  
• Identify early warning accounts and take preventive measures to reduce delinquency.
  
• Maintain detailed MIS reports on bucket-wise collections, settlements, and recovery progress.
  
• Coordinate with legal teams for initiating and following up on recovery/legal actions (SARFAESI, arbitration, etc.).
  
• Drive field recoveries ethically while maintaining strong customer relationships and brand reputation.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate or Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, or related field.
  

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience

  in

  collections, recovery, or credit control

  in NBFCs/Banks.
• Good understanding of secured and unsecured loan products.
  
• Strong negotiation, persuasion, and conflict-handling skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage a field team.
  
• Familiar with local market geography and language proficiency in

  Tamil & English

  .
• Basic computer skills and experience with MS Office & collection tracking tools.
  

Preferred Background

• Prior experience handling

  SME/Business Loan collections

  ,

  LAP

  , or

  personal loan recovery portfolios

  .
• Candidates with local residence or strong market knowledge of

  Pudukottai and nearby regions

  will be preferred.
